Red Ribbon Award 2012 Winners Spread the Word at ICAAP 2013!!

Red Ribbon Award Winners from the 2012 RRA Round are active participants at the 11th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) taking place in Bangkok during 18-22 November 2013.

The ICAAP Theme: "Asia/Pacific Reaching Triple Zero: Investing in Innovation" speaks directly to the mission of the RRA Winners from the region. In recent years, the Asia and Pacific region has experienced significant progress in the reduction of new HIV infections, increase in the number of people receiving antiretroviral treatment and expansion of programmes to reach key affected populations. Despite the gains made, however, challenges still remain.

RRA Winners are sharing with ICAAP participants their innovative approaches to approaching the Three Zeros in their communities: Zero new HIV infections, Zero discrimination and Zero AIDS-related deaths. Through sharing their experiences, RRA Winners hope to inspire other civil society groups as well as decision-makers and other stakeholders to create a stronger and more effective response to AIDS in communities in the region.
